He met Peterson through mutual friends. She asked him to work on a production of Brecht’s “Good Person of Szechwan” – arranging and performing new songs written by David Hidalgo and Louie Perez of Los Lobos, as well as providing additional music. He was working from Hidalgo’s and Perez’s demo tapes, and phone calls, to create a live score.
